Texas at Michigan State 7:00pm EST

Selection: MICHIGAN STATE -6.5

Upon initial glance of these teams recent performances, this game would appear like the obvious selection is Texas. However, Michigan State has played an absolutely brutal schedule so far this season, with non-conference games against Duke, Connecticut, and Syracuse. Their game against Duke was on the road, yet they played the Blue Devils very tough in a point spread cover. Also, they were in a great position to beat UConn, and their game against Syracuse was a basically a home game for the Orange at the Madison Square Garden. Michigan State needs a big win against a good team, while Texas is coming off of a nice win at North Carolina and likely won't be as motivated in a tough spot. The Longhorns are not an experienced team, so they are likely to be enjoying that win and they haven't had much time to prepare for a talented and experienced Michigan State team. The Spartans have one of the strongest home court advantages in college basketball, and I look for their home crowd to be fired up in this featured home game.
