Charlotte at Detroit 7:30pm EST
Selection: DETROIT -1
Profile: Detroit is better than their winless record would indicate. The Pistons have played a tough schedule to start the season while dealing with injuries as well. They have had to play Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, and Oklahoma City to start this year with New Jersey being their only easy opponent. Charlotte got their first win the other night against the Nets, but they are still struggling to score after losing guard Raymond Felton in the off-season. He was a huge piece to their offense, and I expect the Bobcats to struggle offensively for awhile this season. Detroit is winless and will want this game much more. Look for them to get the home win.
4 UNIT SELECTION
Chicago at Boston 8:00pm EST
Selection: CHICAGO +8
Profile: Chicago played last night, but their starters rested for most of the 4th quarter because of poor play. The Bulls aren’t as bad as they looked last night, and New York also got very hot from the three point line. Chicago always plays Boston tough, and the Bulls are improved from a season ago. Meanwhile, Boston seems content again this season to just coast through to the playoffs. They were barely able to hold off Milwaukee at home the other night as well. Boston is short handed with their big men due to injuries, which gives Chicago an advantage down low.
3 UNIT SELECTION
Toronto at LA Lakers 10:30pm EST
Selection: OVER 212 POINTS
Profile: Both of these teams have been lighting up the scoreboard this season, but it’s translated into more wins for the Lakers than the Raptors. Los Angeles’ offense looks unstoppable, as they have put up well over 100 points in every game this season, but they have also given up over 100 points in every game except one. Toronto has also been high scoring this season, but their defense has been horrible the last two games, giving up 236 combined points. Look for this game to be high scoring and go over the total.
