Profile: Denver was completely embarrassed in their last game, giving up 144 points to Indiana to end their road trip. The Nuggets are not that bad of a team, and before that game their only losses were to Dallas, New Orleans, and Chicago. Also, those losses were all by single digits, with the biggest loss being by 6 points at the Hornets. The Nuggets always get up to play the Lakers and actually outplayed them last season, going 3-1 straight up and 3-0-1 ATS against them. There is good value on Denver too after the betting public saw them get blown out in their last game, while Los Angeles has been riding high and is still undefeated. However, Los Angeles has played a very weak schedule so far with only two road games at Phoenix and at Sacramento. This game will be the Lakers first tough test of the season and also their first tough road game. Denver will no doubt come out with a focused effort on the defensive end and will surprise a Lakers team that hasn’t been battle tested this season in a hostile environment.
